Last Monday was a UK bank holiday so this week we’ve got a bumper edition of pictures of the week highlighting some of our favourite images uploaded over the last 2 weeks…
Why we think this is great: The wood stork is a large American wading bird that’s been on the list of endangered species for years. However, thanks to over 30 years of conservation work, this beautiful bird is. We just love this calm, peaceful portrait showing the bird in a stunning, majestic manner.
Why we think this is great: Is it just me or are we all a little excited for Autumn to arrive? If this question’s asked here at ºÚ¹Ï³ÔÁÏHQ you receive a mixed reaction, some would definitely disagree as they cling onto the last glimpses of summer, whilst others are in my camp and are wholeheartedly ready to accept autumn and all it has to offer. I for one, can’t wait to snuggle down and get my hygge on but what do you think? Are you ready for summer to be over?
Why we think this is great: I love, love, love this shot. The alternative over head perspective used by the photographer makes the viewer feel involved in the image and I’d really quite like to reach my hand into the image and grab a slice myself.
Why we think this is great: So I said I was ready for autumn but do you think it’s too soon to be looking at images of pumpkins? I think not. Russet Orange is a Pantone colour trend for Autumn/Winter 2018 so it would be great to see how you can incorporate this, and the other colour trends in your stock photography over the coming months.
If 4 images aren’t enough, check out more great images submitted in the two weeks. Motivated to get uploading this week? If you submit any images you think would be perfect candidates for our next ‘Pictures of the Week’ post, tweet the image refs to  with the hashtag #AlamyPOTW and we’ll consider them for the feature.
