Check out our highlighted categories
Each month we choose 4 image categories to highlight at the top of the categories page. These are a selection of our most recent and most relevant categories for the particular time of year. If you’re looking for inspiration this is a great place to start.
Use the filters at the top of the page
One of the great things about our image categories is that you can still use all the usual ºÚ¹Ï³ÔÁÏfilters to tailor the image search to show exactly what you need. You can filter by orientation, so if you’re working on a book cover you can filter to only see portrait images. You can also filter by number of people in the image, date taken and viewpoint, as well as a number of other options.
Browse related categories
At the top of each of the category pages you will see a list of related categories. These are handpicked by our team to help make your journey through the categories as easy and relevant as possible.
Explore our specialists
Some of our categories also feature links to specialist collections related to the category’s theme. For example if you’re looking at the architecture image category, you will see a list of photographers and agencies that specialise in this type of imagery. It is a great extra resource if you’re trying to find a specific type of image. You’ll find the list of specialists in the panel at the top of the page next to the related categories. Some of the categories with a broader theme – such as summer – will not feature specialists.
