Glossy magazines, reality TV, social media, the list goes on. We have access to a seemingly endless supply of content promoting unrealistic ideals about what men and women’s bodies should look like to be deemed attractive.
Diet culture is shoved down our throats by influencers advertising things like Bootea Teatox which leaves us feeling empty (literally) and wondering why our bodies don’t look like those we see in the media.
Today, ‘fat’ has become not a description of size but a moral category tainted with criticism and contempt.

More often than not, images including overweight, plus-sized, or just ‘different’ bodies have a negative connotation. Globally, . Even using social media for as little as 30 minutes a day can negatively change the way people view their bodies. With Love Island gracing our screens again this summer, we’re reminded yet again that the media need to do better in representing body diversity.
We truly believe all bodies are beautiful and should be celebrated. That’s what the Body Positivity collection does.
