One year on
It’s been a year since the COVID-19 pandemic changed the way we live. So how have our teams around the world adapted and what have they learnt when it comes to working from home for such an extended period of time.
Tips to stay productive at home
As COVID-19 becomes a global pandemic, we’ve shut our offices around the world and colleagues started working remotely. This isn’t a concept that’s new to us. We’ve been ahead of the curve for some time now with many of us working from home often. However, this is the first time we’ve had our entire global team all working remotely at the same time, and despite pulling off a very successful practise run in preparation, it’s still a circumstance that we’re trying to adapt to.
As a digital-first business, we use MS Teams to communicate with each other daily so virtual conversations are part of our norm. We often have meetings via video call or chats that are made up mostly of GIFs, but we also value human contact, like most do, and this readjustment to life with little contact in person is unprecedented.
So, we sat down with our colleagues (virtually of course) to discuss what was helping us all stay focused, in the flow and unwind at the end of the day while trying to adapt to the new norm of working from home.
